Let’s collaborate to get your lovely quilt back into your hands to be loved and cuddled

Working Together…How It Works

Create.

It all begins with you and your quilt top. You have spent countless hours pouring your blood, sweat, and tears (yes, sometimes) in creating a beautiful quilt top and it deserves to be quilted. And you might wonder if sending it off to a longarmer is the right choice. I believe it is. Longarming your quilt is what takes your quilt to the next step and helps to fulfill its purpose. A quilt top sitting in your closet or someday pile is not showing off the hard work you put into your masterpiece. Nor is it providing comfort and warmth. I want to give your quilt the royal treatment and help you finish your treasure so that you can gift it or enjoy it yourself.

And if you are worried ‘Is my quilt good enough to send to a longarmer?’, the answer is a resounding YES! You put your heart and soul into the quilt and your efforts deserve to be showcased by the stitching a longarm can provide. And longarming your quilt will mean that it won’t sit in a corner or your house waiting for ‘someday…’, it will be ready to start its ‘life’ as an heirloom that you can enjoy and share with your family and friends.

Reach Out.

Even if you’re not sure that you want to work with me or even to have your quilt longarmed, let’s talk. Reach out to me using the Let’s Collaborate form or Contact link and we can start discussing if a collaboration between Just Be Stitchery and yourself would be a good fit. If you have a specific vision for your quilt, let’s speak so we can see if I can help you carry out your vision. If not, there may be someone else in the Longarm League who can. I have a quick turnaround time for quilts that are sent to me and if your quilt needs special considerations, just let me know.

Prepare.

You have worked hard to craft your flimsy and I want to give it the time and attention that it deserves. Prior to sending or bringing your top to me, please read over the to-do checklist and then follow the link to the Let’s Collaborate form to ensure that I am clear on your vision and that I have the tools and information I need to ensure my work is of the best quality possible. I want your experience with Just Be Stitchery to be all that you had envisioned and more. There are a number of important factors that you will need to make sure are taken care of so that I can deliver you back the quilt that you want and it all starts with the checklist and then a quick filling in of the Let’s Collaborate form at the bottom of this page.

Collaborate.

Your quilt top deserves the royal treatment to show off all the time and effort that you put in creating it and that is where the longarming comes in; choosing the edge-to-edge (e2e) pantograpph pattern to compliment your quilt top is the next step. This means that the stitching pattern will be uniform and consistent across the top of the quilt. If you are looking for custom quilting, please check out my fellow teammates in the Longarm League who do so. Please take into consideration that I strive to give you an e2e pantograph pattern that works so well with your quilt pattern, that it looks bespoke and adds to your quilt overall.

I do want to state here that my tastes in e2e designs tend to trend towards more modern designs, but I’m willing to pull something out of my library or collaborate in finding something that suits you better, if that is what you are looking for. If you request that I purchase an e2e design for your quilt, additional charges will apply, to account for the cost of the new design and the time that it takes to load it into the system. But rest assured, this will not be more than half the cost to purchase the new e2e design.

Use the link below to check out the many pantographs that I have on hand just ready and waiting for your quilt.

If you’re not sure what pattern you want to have stitched out, or are having a dilemna deciding, let’s work together and discuss your options. Sometimes that second set of eyes or that other viewpoint is all it takes to help snap the vision for your quilt into focus.

Stitch.

Once your quilt is in my hands, a couple things happen:

A) I’m really excited to ‘meet’ a new quilt to collaborate and work with you on

B) Your quilt gets the royal treatment as if it was my own as its loaded onto the longarm and gets all its finishing stitches. At your request, in-progress pictures can be sent as your baby gets dolled up or we can leave it as a surprise until its all done. Please note that I am not a professional photographer, but I do my best to give you pictures to highlight your quilt and the stitches that I’m adding to it for you. I do ask that you credit me with any photos of mine that you post on social media

C) I will treat your quilt with respect, handle it with care, and communicate with you if I feel that there is anything that you need to know as I work over every stitch that I add to your quilt

And as an added benefit of sending your quilts to me, the turnaround time for getting your completed quilt back in your hands is quick. This means that you will get your quilts back in your hands before you forget what your lovely quilt looks like.

Enjoy.

Once the stitching is completed, I will return your quilt, either through the postal system (additional charges will apply) or if you are local, we can designate a pickup time and place. Prior to shipping or pickup arrangements, you will receive a photo of your finished quilt (if you desire) and an invoice for the quilting services provided. Once payment is made, I will get the quilt into your hands as quickly as possible.

Now that I have walked you through the process of working with Just Be Stitchery, I hope you are feeling like you’re ready to work with me. If you are follow the link below to get started.
