Longarming Services

e2e Designs

Once you have decided to get your quilt longarmed by Just Be Stitchery with an edge to edge (e2e) design, you will be charged for the square inches of the quilt. The cost is 2.5 cents per square inch, which includes the thread, bobbins used, and the loading time.

For Example: If your quilt is 65” x 75”, you will be charged for 4,875 square inches of quilting. At 2.5 cents per square inch, the cost for this quilt would be $121.88

Batting

Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 Cotton-Poly Batting

I keep a roll of Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 on hand for your convenience and to save you from running around last minute to get the final items for your quilt. The batting cost to you is $0.22 per linear inch of batting off the role. The charge to you will be the size of the quilt plus 8 inches to ensure there is enough and accommodate any draw.

For example, if you want batting for your 65” x 75” quilt top, I would cut a swatch of batting 73” inches long for you off the roll. The cost of that batting would be $16.06.

If you wish to have double batting (yes! that is an option! and creates a dreamy, puffy confection for you), please state that is what you want and I will charge double the cost of a single batting layer.

Using my batting is not a requirement, I am glad to accept your quilt top with any high quality batting to complete your quilt as long as it meets the size requirements.

Binding

I am willing to attach the pre-made binding that you provide to the quilt once it has been quilted. If this is a service that you choose, I will trim your quilt off the excess backing and batting to an 1/8” from the edge of your quilt, and attach the binding (that you have prepared) to the back or front of your quilt. All you will need to do once you get it home is stitch the other side of the binding down either by hand or on your domestic machine and the quilt will be ready to use or gift.

I will attach the binding in a continuous manner so that you will not be left with tails or an overlap to deal with.

If your quilt has a flannel or cotton back, I will attach the binding to the front. If your quilt has a fuzzy backing such as a fuzzy blanket, Minky or Fireside, I will attach the binding to the back. The reason for this different treatment is that it would be rather difficult to hand stitch the binding down into these backings and ensure that you have caught enough fabric to have quality stitches that will last all the love and cuddling that your quilt will experience.

The charge for this service is $0.10 per linear inch.

Price includes trimming of quilt off of backing in order to attach pre-made binding.
